Common Ground. The Kickstarter Campaign.
Common Ground. The Kickstarter Campaign:
We’re putting together an album featuring original songs, developed and recorded by friends and some of Syracuse area’s finest musicians. Proceeds will be donated to the non-for-profit organization “In My Father’s Kitchen” – an organization that builds relationships with and serves Syracuse’s chronically homeless. Their Under the Bridge Outreach Program provides food and basic necessities to individuals, where they live on the streets, on a consistent and compassionate basis. We’re excited to be teaming up with founders John and Leigh-Ann Tumino to support their direct street outreach and initiatives. If you have a moment to learn more about their project and what we’re supporting, please visit them at www.inmyfatherskitchen.org.
How the project will unfold:
We’ve got a handful of songs that have been kicking around, and we’ve got some awesome talent on board to help us develop them.
Nate and Kate Marshall
Zoe and Alison
The Old Main
Joey Arcuri and Joe from Driftwood
(and more to come…)
This summer, we’ll be sending out raw, rough draft recordings of the songs to each musician, giving them time to develop, rehearse and create their own creative renditions. Our goal is this fall and winter to get into the studio at Subcat Studios to begin the recording process. With your help, we hope to have the album completed by March with an album release party in the spring of 2017.
The need for support:
But we can’t do it without your help. That’s why we started this Kickstarter campaign, to help get the project off the ground and move it forward – with your pledges to support and donate. We’ve set a goal to help cover the cost of recording, including the production and mastering of the project. It will also help cover the physical production and ordering of the album.
We’ve got incentives!

Music for music is good in of itself. Music for a cause is good for something else.
